Maybe I’m wrong

“Maybe I am wrong” is the start of a change.

A change from inside out. A change of realisation.

Yesterday I and my family went to someone’s house for dinner.

First I thought she was rude based on our earlier meetings.

But her family was very welcoming.

She talked to me politely. And her family also talked to me politely.

I realised that what I thought that she was a rude person was wrong.

Maybe she thought I was rude.

Before that dinner I was feeling very afraid.

I was thinking about skipping dinner but I thought that “maybe I am wrong”. Maybe she isn’t rude. Maybe she was afraid or stressed.

So I thought let’s give life a chance.

And life gave me self-knowledge and empathy. It proved to me that “people are not bad”.

Maybe I am the one who is thinking wrongly and that people are good.

Nobody is judging you. Nobody is trying to hurt you.

I guess I changed because I was open to being wrong.

Your thoughts make you unique

Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?

It’s not about your personality, nor is it about your looks.

It’s your thoughts that make you unique.

Thoughts shape your reality.

Also your experiences shape how you think.

But I’d say it all starts in the brain.

Experiences are outside our control.

But you can control how you think, what you think.

You can change your thoughts and your future experiences or destiny will change.

So thoughts can be made better by getting diverse experiences in life, reading good books, a good education, a good environment, prayer, etc.

So your thoughts make you unique.

Forgive yourself

When you meet a stranger and based on their first impressions you judge them and think maybe they are rude and you are innocent, remember that they also might think the same about you.

You judgement that they are rude and judgemental is your judgement. And they aren’t necessarily true.

So stop judging and be happy.

We all are equal. And we must respect ourselves and each other.

Forgive yourself and forgive them and forget.

I’m glad you’re reading this. Thanks a lot!

I will not name anything after me

If you could have something named after you, what would it be?

I will not name anything after me except my blog and business.

That’s because I believe that your work and deed make you worthy of remembrance than your name.

Great people like Gandhi, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar are still remembered because of their work, not because their photo and name are printed on paper money or books.

Why bother naming something after you?

Focus on humility and hard work.

There’s no need to attempt to prove to people that you are great.

If you are great, people would know it automatically.

I’m glad you read this line. Thanks a lot!

Accept accept accept

Accept whatever life throws at you.

Without accepting you can’t change it.

Without accepting you can’t be happy.

Without accepting you can’t be good.

Surrender to the truth however bitter it may be.

That’s real growth.

That’s real healing.

Truth is the ultimate healer.

Acceptance is the ultimate method of healing.

Good old days’ memories make me laugh

What makes you laugh?

When I was in secondary school, class 10, I had a lot of fun with my friends.

We had to go to multiple private tutor classes and we travelled by bicycle throughout town.

We stole money from our parents and feasted on good food.

We wasted time playing video games.

We studied together.

I had a crush. More about that later 😉.

But recalling the memories of those days makes me laugh.

Not because they were precious but because I know I can never have them back.

Now they are gone.

Those innocent days are of the past.

I feel lucky to have lived such a life even if it’s for a short period of time.

I am grateful.

I’m glad you’re reading this. Thanks a lot!

An apology and a brief mental health update

I posted a blog post about my dissatisfaction with my life a few hours ago.

I write in that post that I wanted to cry but can’t.

I also wrote that “nobody understands me”.

All of my feelings are valid and it’s ok to cry.

But I felt the post was a little negative and didn’t add value to the readers. So I have taken it down the to drafts version.

So I am apologizing for my mistake.

Right now I am in the state I travelled to recently.

And my anxiety is going through the roof.

I need to stay busy and go out and have patience.

I’m glad you read this line. Thanks a lot!

I wanted to be an astronaut and a singer at five

When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Plainly and simply I wanted to be an astronaut and a singer.

Because astronauts move mankind forward and I love to sing.

But as I grew older, I discovered my true preferences.

I realised that I was born to be a writer.

I was born to think differently.

I was born to love books.

I was born to love the truth.

When I was five, I only said what I learnt from my environment that astronauts and singer are reputable professions.

But as I aged and I got wiser. I learnt what I want and what I don’t want. And what my soul truly craves.

My soul craves self-expression.

Also in life we can’t get everything because of our circumstances.

So we need to accept everything- the successes and the failures.

People pray for people

When I was going through the worst phase of my life during my psychosis in 2017, my parents told me that that a neighbour’s family in our building prayed for my well being.

When I heard that it gave me hope.

Why would strangers pray for me?

I didn’t help them in any way in life. Nor do I have anything to give them.

But still they prayed for me.

Maybe it’s just that they closed their eyes and asked God,”Please help that boy God!”

It still brings tears of gratitude in me.

I’m grateful that you read this line. Thanks a lot!
